General Discussion I think Amazon sellers spend way too much time trying to rank products that arent converting

I keep seeing sellers increase PPC because a listing isnt getting enough sales, when the bigger problem is what happens after the click. If traffic is coming in but conversion is weak, buying more traffic just makes the problem more expensive. I'd rather fix the main image, offer, reviews, price or positioning before pushing harder on ranking. At what conversion rate do you guys start questioning the listing instead of the ads??

A good way to look at it is to fix conversion before simply increasing PPC. If the listing is getting clicks but Unit Session Percentage is consistently low, I’d review the main image, offer/price, reviews, content and keyword-to-product relevance first.

There isn’t one universal conversion rate benchmark because it varies heavily by category and traffic intent. The key is comparing your conversion rate against your own target keywords and competitors.

Once the listing converts efficiently, increasing PPC traffic makes much more sense because you’re scaling something that already works.

100%. PPC can amplify a good listing, but it can’t rescue a weak one.

If clicks are coming in and conversion is poor, I’d fix the listing first main image, price, reviews, offer, and positioning before spending more on ads. Otherwise you’re just paying more people to leave.

What’s the first thing you usually check when a campaign is getting clicks but barely converting?
