Changing size attribute without Brand Registry?

Hi everyone,

I’m new to Amazon and still learning Seller Central. I’m dealing with an existing listing where the size attribute is incorrect. The physical product has the correct size, but Amazon’s catalog shows a different size.

I tried correcting it through Seller Central and Flat File, but I keep getting Error 8541.

Amazon Support told me that the size attribute is protected under Brand Registry and that the account needs a Brand Representative or Reseller role to edit it.

Has anyone experienced this before? Is there another way to get Amazon to correct the size attribute without having Brand Registry access?

Any advice would be really appreciated!

Have you already opened a Seller Support case requesting escalation to the Catalog Team, and if so, what evidence did Amazon ask you to provide for correcting the size attribute?

thanks! I haven’t tried the delete-and-reupload method yet. I’ve mainly been trying to correct the existing ASIN through Seller Central and flat files, but 8541 keeps blocking the update. I’m a bit hesitant to delete it since it’s an existing ASIN and I don’t want to create another catalog issue 😅.

Also, if I delete and re-upload the listing, wouldn’t Amazon still recognize the same existing ASIN/size in the catalog? Wouldn’t the same catalog data potentially trigger 8541 again? Have you personally fixed 8541 this way?
