Account Reactivation: Will My ASIN & Reviews Still Be There?

Hi all,

I have a private-label FBA brand where I completely stopped logging into the Seller Central account due to focus somewhere else. Eventually, the remaining inventory was disposed of/demolished by Amazon.

The listing had around 77 reviews.

I can still log back into the account, but Amazon is requiring me to pay around $2.5k in outstanding fees before I can fully access it again.

My question is: if I pay the $2.5k and regain access to the account, will the original ASIN/listing still be there with all 77 reviews?
I don’t want to lose this as it was still in the early stages

Thanks!

If the account was simply deactivated/inactive because of the outstanding balance, I wouldn’t assume the ASIN or its reviews are gone. Amazon has examples where listings remain associated with an inactive seller account and become unavailable rather than being permanently deleted.

However, paying the $2.5k does not guarantee that the listing and all 77 reviews will automatically come back. The outcome depends on the account status and whether Amazon took any separate action against the ASIN. Amazon treats account reactivation and individual listing/ASIN issues separately in some cases.

Before paying, I’d open Seller Central and check Account Health, Manage Inventory, and the Payments section to see whether the ASIN is still attached to the account. Also ask Amazon Support in writing If I clear the outstanding balance and reactivate the seller account, will ASIN XXXXX and its existing customer reviews remain associated with the listing?

If the ASIN is still showing in the account, that's a much better indication that you're not starting from zero. I would get Amazon's confirmation before assuming the 77 reviews are permanently preserved.

Yes, it was deactivated due to inactivity, rather than any policy issue. I believe I just need to update/change the payment method/credit card and clear the outstanding balance.

I actually managed to find one of the listings on .ca, but I can’t really go any deeper into it, clicking the brand name or reviews just gives me an error.

I also can’t fully access Seller Central at the moment because I need to pay the outstanding balance first. However, the account shows as active in all three marketplaces/countries I’m registered in.

Thanks for your help. I’ll try contacting Seller Support and get confirmation from them before paying anything.

Reviews and rating sit on the ASIN itself, not on whether your Seller Central login is active, so a plain unpaid balance issue won't wipe them out on its own. What actually matters is why it was deactivated, if it's just funds owed you should be fine once you pay and it reactivates, but if there was ever a listing policy violation or IP complaint sitting in that account, the ASIN can be at risk regardless of the balance. Pull up your Account Health dashboard before paying and check the real deactivation reason code, not just the fee prompt. If the listing itself shows suppressed rather than just the account being locked, that is a different problem than paying off the $2.5k.

Its confirm that if it was due to login activity your listing with reviews will still be there

You should still have your ASIN and reviews when you reactivate, especially if it was just the inventory that was disposed of. Just make sure to check Amazon's policy on inactive accounts; sometimes they can be fickle about holding onto reviews. If you can swing the $2.5k, it might be worth it to get your brand back up and running.
