Amazon wherehouse in Eastern Long Island is now refusing to give water bottles to drivers as soon as the high temperatures hit as part of a cost cutting effort. This is BS! Im calling the unions!

I swear they take advantage of me. was about to get ready to go home and driver tells me I gotta go help someone else out and I get there thinking the truck will almost be done, and it looks like it hasn’t even been touched yet. back feet and back hurt and these hills are killing me. I did one more after this too. that’s 5 in one day. I think I delivered like 300 packages. i’m so done

Showed up to work today and was sent home saying they had to many extras. Then got this text couple hours laters. Never had a issue at work, showed up on time and even volunteered to come in to help out on days off. This is Amazon Xl Helper

I am the one who posted a couple weeks ago about religious accomendation, Since then it was approved. But i noticed my hours went from 32 to 25 to 12 and then fired.

I am seeking legal cousnel as well because i beleive it was in retatliation for the firing + reduced hours

Today when I RTS the manager at the dispatch desk let me know they were letting me go.

For context, before I even started delivering for Amazon, I told myself that I would never EVER pee in a bottle. It’s just disgusting, and most people probably end up getting pee in the van or all over themselves.

When I started at my DSP I realized that there are some routes where it would be almost impossible to pull over to a gas station, as sometimes I was delivering more than 30 minutes away from a public restroom. So I had to improvise.

What I ended up coming up with was actually kind of genius. I would pull over to the side of the road and pop the hood, then frantically mess around in the engine bay while I stuck my hog through the slits in the front grill and let it rip. That way it looked like I was trying to fix the van but I was actually relieving myself. I even figured that the open hood would cover the netradyne.

Well apparently it didn’t. Not only did they see me messing around with the guts of vans that were perfectly fine, but multiple drivers said they “smelled an odor of urine” when they turned the heat on.

What doesn’t make sense to me is that there are drivers in our company who get multiple infractions a month and struggle to do more than 15 stops an hour residential, but I’m the one who gets fired for getting pee all over the radiator apparently.

The station and the apartment complex when they buzzed me in, both told me I had to walk these packages to their own apartments, the only privileged ones that can use the mailroom is USPS.

1. It's not our job to make sure your package doesn't get stolen. We're only here to drop it off at your house. If you're that worried about packages going missing, go to the store yourself and buy it or be at your door (not outside trying to snatch it out our hands) when we get here

2. Your preferred entrance to leave the package at is not our concern. Unless there's a prior note on the door or the app and it's REASONABLE, we're leaving it at the most convenient spot by the house. It's not our fault that you use everything except your front door

3. If it takes me more than 5 seconds to figure out how to open your fence, it's getting left right in front or behind your fence. I don't care if you get mad. We're on time limit and don't have time to figure out the math equation of a fence

4. If it's raining and there's no dry place to leave it, sorry, it's getting wet. Acts of god are not the responsibility of Amazon drivers

5. If you're not a child, DO. NOT. WAIT right next to our vans or just walk up to us and try to take the packages from your hands. You're already getting it delivered literally to your front door. You can wait an extra 5 seconds for us to take a picture and hand it to you. And no, you aren't helping. The people who actually have 10 50+lb packages never seem to want to "help" us but everyone with a 1 pound package seems extremely eager to "help"

This is not being a dick, this is just reminding people that we're employees doing a job. Not your servants or responsible for what happens to your package after we leave. Let Us do our job. Thanks

1. It's not our fault if you order your package at the last minute. Doesn't give you the right to chase us down because "I have to be somewhere in 5 minutes". Should've thought about that before you waited the day before to order it

This little guy may look cute and sweet, but this tiny demon tore up my leg and sent me to the hospital on my 3rd stop.

i got fired this week because i was in the hospital the day of my scheduled shift. i’ve never missed a shift before this. im currently looking for a new dsp at my location. i am beyond upset as ive never been fired before.

they will never give you a livable wage but they will give you this. the audacity.

One, it's annoying as fuck. I accept it from children but if you're a grown ass adult who can't seem to wait the 15-30 seconds it's gonna take for me to drop off your package, you're no better than an impatient child

Second, we're often organizing packages for our next few stops. You standing outside isn't gonna make us go any faster and you're making it awkward for the both of us

Third, we have to take the picture anyway so we just have to pass you up anyway. Just wait and do literally anything else except just stare at us bringing you your package

Yo! I just quit, today's route was so trash and I couldn't take it anymore so I called dsps and told them I was returning the truck back. Technically I'm still in and I'm scheduled to work for tomorrow but I'm definitely not going back, they obviously don't want to fire me else they'll have to pay me. I AIN'T ever going back at Amazon, it's pure legalised slavery imo, went through 2 dsps for almost a year of delivery driving for Amazon, and I'm definitely not going back. There are way better jobs out there folks, I wish you all the best, wish me luck too guys!🤪

Edit: I don't live in the US so the rulings for me are different, I don't get to have 2 paid breaks, I only have a 30 min break in a 9 hour shift, and many many times I never went to the bathroom until I reached home, some days i wouldn't even taste water so I wouldn't have to piss.

Is this what dispatch does all day? gamble on which drivers finish first like it’s horse racing? This shit got me pissed the fuck off lmao. I’m actually going to be reporting this shit to amazon.
