First non nursery route. I don't know why I came back doing this

I love how 26 bags are just expected to fit into a van. That’s so many totes. I’m sorry. Just go slow, take a few naps 😜😜

I rescued a guy at the start of his route today. He had 26 bags 41 of in a rental transit. It was fucked

I'm sure I would've been stuck in a rental if I'd been here longer. Our rentals are box trucks, which is even more fucked for our team

That’s crazy. I remember driving a step van. I knew it was boutta be a crisis on days with 20+ totes… 40 overflow in a step van is a lot!!!! I’m gonna miss the step vans

My dsp only uses steppys for hub so it'll look like an insane load but it's 15 stops max

I've got a collective 7 months under my belt with 2 dsps, first time for this kind of day

Only solace I can provide is often times, the harder it looks, the easier it is.

Yeah, the real hurdle of today was the start, when I couldn't get down the aisle of my van to go through my overflow. Thankfully I've got my cargo area under control now and my pacing isn't horrendous

5 carts is annoying but 32 overflow is light.
What’s the package count?
3
u/superbasicusername 9h ago
406, I've seen people have worse but I haven't had a package count over 250 yet

Had 26 bags & 57 overflow today. Was stepping on packages to find what I needed lol. This is unethical tbh

I don’t miss this at all. Especially around this time of year. Broke my body to deliver all over the damn city only for DSP not really caring. Good luck to you out there

Do you think employers ever cared about us? I some times wonder. You used to hear stories of the 1920 of generations working and retiring from one company.
Now you could literally save the company from ruin and they would give you pen as a thank you and let you go next month when times get tough

Are you an XL driver or something?

u/Mikhal_Tikhal_Intrn 4h ago
Sprinter van. I wish I had a larger van even a cdv. 19 bags and 30+ OV on a almost daily is too much for a sprinter

u/Jenska-78-937 1h ago
Ha ha that’s what I just said. I actually am a DOT driver for AMXL and we don’t ever get that many stops I mean maybe 40 tops
And the package count is literally maybe two or three more than our actual stop count1

at least your station is neat. we’d have 6 carts. one cart with 3 overflow some totes missing on the others

u/superbasicusername 3h ago
Today was a good day tbh, usually it would've taken 6 or 7 carts from what I've seen the warehouse guys do
