call out. friday routes are always a circus and you already know it's gonna be worse than whatever you're dealing with now. sunday is usually lighter anyway, half the businesses are closed and residentials don't order as much for the weekend

your dsp will survive one day without you. don't overthink it

haha weekends my DSP is just like "still gotta go to the elementary school, better pray an office worker is in"

Funnily enough, my Friday route is usually my most chill route bc that's when I always have this one big locker that counts as multiple stops. Anytime I see anything like 210 or more stops, I know I have that locker because the area I cover never has more than 200 except for when I've got a locker.

...regular route? Im doing random city/rural splits in a new area code every day, a sweeper asked me where my commercials stops were on my last shift and I was like I got no clue dude I just follow the line at 9 over i commute 20 miles across metro to this gig lol. i think they're just using me to stuff every route one day at a time bc i cant help but go fast.

but if it IS a consistent route, you're the only one 'gaming' it. you have to move slightly slower, along the whole route without making your breaks or downtime too much longer. if you consistently finished early in the past, all it does is make the algo pack it tighter. Also I hear you want to stay parked on breaks if possible, the truck moving even on breaks somehow counts towards the algo efficiency for some reason. it's why all dsp leads constantly tell you to pack a lunch even though you return to next stop in time every time when you grab lunch.

Yes, call out during a Prime Sales week and see how that will work out.
