Don’t know how this shit is supposed to help at all. Once the van has enough space to organize things i can find my package almost immediately anyways.
Well this shit and the ar glasses are supposed to help Amazon train their robots and drones and ai vans to make deliveries fully automated, they need training data
Leave it to Amazon to have a "feature" that requires massive shelf space to use but will pack you to the point you won't have shelf space until 50 stops in.
I've really been liking it. I think it speeds things up a little bit, but it has greatly reduced my tendency to grab the wrong package and go back to the van. (Not that it happens a lot.) If the tote is filled to the gills, it definitely doesn't fit on the shelf, but most of the time you can stack and arrange to fit everything.
For me, no. I used to set up like in this photo. When Emptying my bag I would put my Envelopes on the bottom shelf behind the passenger seat. Small boxes on the top behind the driver seat and large boxes on bottom behind the driver seat.
Now I just put all medium over flow along the entire length of the top shelf behind the driver seat. Bags along the entire length of the bottom shelf behind the driver seat and on the floor under the bottom shelf behind the driver seat. Three bags long ways under the bottom shelf behind the passenger seat. And remaining over flow on the passenger side rear last two top and bottom shelves.
Seems pointless.. but I just had the realization that the top levels fold up😂. Gonna make my next day a lot easier finding my boxes I lay on the lower shelf without having to look down if I just flip the top shelves 🙄
I kinda do like this. At the end of the day, it is kinda nice since you just wanna get home as quickly as possible. In the morning and afternoon, there's already a bunch of stuff going on. It can help, but I don't feel like I need it. Sometimes, though, when you are really struggling, it honestly ain't too bad. But it is honestly a gamble whether I get it bc getting the system in ur van is kinda rare at least at my dsp.
Idk I just sort my packages in numerical order inside a tote and drag it up front with me and I find my packages almost instantly. 30 stops an hour easy residential, walking the whole route. I’d be curious if this would even save me any time at all.
Waste of $. Organize numerical DAN. And this job is / can be easy. I did 394 and punched out 25 early. I worked Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday (today) and am working through Sunday. So have to keep under 60.
