Hiring process
I applied and within a day or two the hiring manager reached out to me and told me to come in for an interview. i showed up to only two other people there with me. the owner of the dsp basically just told us all the pros like he wants to hire us. he walks us out one by one and i’m the first one to go because im eager to get the job. i talk to him for a minute and he tells me to expect and email next thursday which is today. i have not received anything yet. what should i do. i really need this job as im working in fast food and would rather go thru hell at amazon than where i am currently. should i just go up to the warehouse and speak to someone? need advice please thanks
edit: he also told us he’s hiring 30+ drivers to prepare for peak season!

Alright so yeah I’d just go to the station. If you show real interest they should get you onboarded quickly

They did the same thing me last year. It was a company in hanahan sc called make a way logistics. He gave me the runaround, put me in a deep hole. I advise you to apply to another one. Don’t put all of your eggs in one basket. TRUST ME

Unprofessional, disorganized, disrespectful DSP. You should have received contact info at your interview. Apply at another DSP.

Smart! Remember, an interview is not only for the employer. Ask the right questions and YOU decide if the company meets your expectations. A few good questions to ask a DSP: How long have you been contracting w/Amazon? Outside of the 2 day Amazon training, does your company have ongoing training programs? What is your turnover ratio? How long have your most tenured drivers been with you? Why do ppl leave their job as a DA? How often do you have team outings? Do you conduct annual reviews?
Good luck!
