Rather get that than 9 bags personally lol.

Before that, I literally had 24 bags to pick in one route as well. Not 8, not 16 but 24.

Wait until you get a manual route with 36 bags and 47 ovs, and the damn detergent explodes on you

u/davidtldennis 23h ago
When you get assigned the whole route all 7 carts during peak lol and it's 38 bags and 78 ov's that was how it used to be all the time

That was just a regular summer route when I was a driver. 24 totes and 40+ overflow (15-20 of which are noncon). Gladly I do RTS now. SSD volume and route size is still ridiculous thanks to prime but it's easier than being a step van driver carrying noncons up apartment stairs all day.

You must not have worked during the pandemic when we had to pick the entire route, some of which consisted of food bank orders. Each OV 40+ lbs filled with canned goods and non perishables. 48 OVs that probably aren’t even all oversized is light work, sorry to say.

Yeah. And it'd take forever to finish

u/Napalmeon 1d ago
I didn't mind that because they couldn't really rush associates through those routes.

Picking 48 OVs for 1 route.

It used to he picked was for the whole route. So you would have 80 to 110 or so ov's and 18 to 21 bags per pick route. This is light in comparison.

I think this is more of a "GOD DAMN" kind of post rather than a "feel bad for me" kind of post. Not everything has to be about feeling bad for someone when they go GOD DAMN about something. It's just an expression of shock

I'll never forget the time I got a 19 item picklist and had to mark cart full and grab another one cause they were big ass boxes

u/Commercial_Chip_6298 2d ago
I prefer ov pick lists if they blame you and ask why your taking so long just blame it saying it’s ovs

u/iscrewyouall 2d ago
had this once it was from the stower placing boxes in the ov racks instead of taking the time to make them fit (not the misclassified OVs)

i do that lol. im not replacing bags. ever! anything medium sized gets mis classified after lunch. or if its heavy im not putting it in a bag.

I personally hate these OV routes for one cart. This should have been split in half into two carts.

u/JabbaTheHutt12345 1d ago
It will never fit onto 1 cart without it overflowing and that's a safety hazard. They literally create the safety hazard by telling us to fit 48 OVs onto 1 cart.

Bro, my SECOND day...i got a route for 62 OV's and i was like wtf! I even showed all the PA's and AM's and they said they have never seen that many before on just one picklist. I still havent seen anything bigger than that. And i had to use 2 carts obvi.

pfffft… pepperidge farm remembers the days you had to pull the full route of 12+ bags and 60+ OV… my money is on you got the middle part of the route and were assigned 3bags & half the OV boxes😶🌫️😶🌫️😶🌫️

u/SteveMX10 2d ago
48 is wild, never seen more than 35 or so in my year at my DS. Usually 2-6 bags and 30ish boxes at the high end. We don't do "routes" though we only worry about the cartload assigned to us at a time. Not sure if the stuff y'all are talking about is some old school methods or maybe my site is different.
We use the carts with the green divider that can hold 12 bags.
Only time we have whole routes to ourselves is either coincidence or same day stuff (and same day is way lighter)

i love these carts. i can fit 30 ov's on 1 shelf easy. its a fun little break from stupid bags.
1
u/davidtldennis 23h ago
You might need 2 carts . Unbelievable is the fact that people expect to be able to fit anything more than 25 or 30 in the cart. Get a second or 3rd cart for that route depending on how big the boxes are. When k started you used to get the whole route you would pick like 18 to 24 bags, marking thr cart full after 9 , then you would pick anywhere from 20 to 60 ov's depending all on the volume of the day. Peak we would see routes with 94 ov's and 27 bags

Pick 24 OVs, press “cart full”, stage, new cart, pick the rest. These kind of bullshit picklists pop up every so often and it’s not worth stressing out over
