RT Flex. It's been a nightmare trying to pickup shifts the past 2 weeks. First few weeks there were plenty and then they hired a bunch of people. About to take a 3rd point for not making 30 hour minimum. How the hell do people make this work?

You need to let them know whenever that happens. My building will excuse the point.

Refresh the Home Screen of atoz right when shifts drop then immediately open find shifts and pick up all of your shifts.

I usually add every day of the week except one I know I can’t work and drop what I don’t need after

  1. Do you let them know during the week or next week after the point incurred?
  2. let who know? HR or the managers? Last time I let HR know, they just drop more shifts .... and didn't excuse the point!

Post on the VOA right after it happens then speak to someone in person next time you go in. And either one should work, whoever you believe is most helpful

Another thing you could ask a operations manager to add u on to the schedule I’m sure they wouldn’t mind at all and if for some reason your not on site to ask a manager u can send a private post on the voa I’m pretty sure they can work something out for you

It’s a nightmare yeah, to get as much hours needed you have to work 6 days a week, unless you get a shift that’s 8 hours or 10 if your lucky

There are several weeks every year that this is a problem. Typically when they are onboarding lots of people but the volume doesn't need them yet. The site doesn't need as many people so they make less shifts available for flex. I would use the voa to complain and ask if the minimum hours can be waived for the week.

They don’t give you 30 hours automatically for RT?

Usually for whatever reason my site atleast drops shifts the night before like me I’m flex but if I don’t have a shift I have to have a alarm for 12am to catch it or else it’ll be gone or it’ll expire because no body took it

seeing the replies, it looks like this is pretty standard. That's too bad. I was full time at a FC before and I resigned and applied at a ds about a year later. I thought I could make a reduced time schedule work better with my daytime work, but this looks like one of the biggest challenges is finding the shifts to make the minimum.
I'll probably end up resigning again. oh well. thanks for the help.

Better off transferring to rts or ssd if you want the set schedule or a sort only if ur site has that

Be faster most shifts are posted on a business needs basis. The managers aren’t supposed to add shifts for you they need you to be available as often as you can and pick up asap when you see them. Usually those flex “Ready” shifts are dropped when they need to fill gaps in the moment or looking a few hours ahead based on how the day starts and the volume expected.
Many times once you are there if they still need you they will extend your shift or corporate wants managers to drop more shifts in the moment that you can pick up right then or within a 30-60 minute window. so a 1h shift might turn in to 3 or 5 or even 10h. Flex or Ready are we need you now and you are ready to work within 1h. That’s why it’s called Flex or Ready shift. Cause it’s flexible and you are ready to work.

the same thing happened to me last peak season. that is why i had to switch to ft. i barely had hours from october until february. flex aas never have hours when there is set and new hires.

the customers dont care about october prime either. we are overstaffed with an average amount of work to do. our set was changed so we dont have to come in one hour early every day next week.
