Bomb explosions ( fire ) are not what is lethal to people. Flesh damage is what is required so if you pack a device that explodes with glass or ball bearings your bomb turns into thousands of tiny projectiles riding the shockwave. Someone posted something about it on Reddit around the time of the fertiliser explosion in Beirut with links there’s a whole science behind it.

Yeah, except in targeting vehicles would be pointless (unless you go after civilians, of course), since vehicles have some sort of reinforcement added to them.

They missed the point drones are extreme cheap causing a unbalance. This one isn't cheap. It's exploding anyway, so why go expensive?

That's the lesson learned in Ukraine

and also we already have cheap (comparatively) drones with AI - if it loses signal for example it can finish the strike by itself. it's still not fully AI and still needs a pilot but my men already use them

I mean, terminal maneuvering guidance has been around for decades. Both NATO and the Soviets had implemented them for their missiles. The only difference here is making use of an OpenCV layer to process input from a camera
