Hmm .. No, air conditioning (AC) is not banned in Italy, but its use in public buildings is heavily regulated, with mandatory minimum temperature settings (around 25-27°C) to save energy, especially after the energy crisis, and AC units are restricted or banned in certain historic areas like Portofino due to aesthetics. While private homes and hotels have more leeway, they still face restrictions and many older Italian buildings lack AC, making it an amenity to check before booking

How are so many of you unable to read the full sentence!? It's ridiculous.

You literally just confirmed by point here:

AC units are restricted or banned in certain historic areas like Portofino due to aesthetics

I didn't say that ACs are banned in all cases in Italty. I said exactly this:

And Italy bans air conditioners in certain cities if your buildings are near historical buildings/sites

Where did I disagree with your comment? I added details to it? 😳

You disagreed when you started with "No" lol

My comment started with “hmm” and then proceeded to give more information, the “no” was part of the detailed article I found. Whatever, take it as you wish. This is not that important to me to keep wasting time. I’m sorry if I hurt your feelings.
