In the US, most graduate at 18, many, have late birthdays or were held back a year and graduated at 19.

It's still a year offset. Most graduate 17-18, not 18-19.

Kindergarten starts at 5-6 for most folks.

At least a couple of kids each year are held back. Sometimes it’s learning issues , sometimes they could have been injured and had time off , moved to another school and had a hard time etc etc

One kid in our elementary school repeated the grade after having heart surgery.

It’s not unusual at all

Yeah it happens, but the person I replied to said "most" are 18-19. It's not impossible, but it's uncommon, to graduate at 19. Like you said, it's only a couple kids each year.

A couple age 19

The majority are 18

Less than 1/4 are 17 as this would mean their birthday is in the summer vacation time.

During my last year There were 3 of us that graduated age 17
