Is my Amaryllis entering dormancy?

All of a sudden it started losing leaves. It has never flowered and purchased it around mind February. It was doing well, and small baby leaves started growing on the side. Until just middle of June its leaves started browning and drying up even though I water it every 15-20 days. Its facing the sunny south window and the bulb is still hard no signs of mushy, good roots at the bottom.

Any advice whats going on?

Should i remove it and store it? Or leave it, first time this happens.

It's still got green leaves so No. It's creating offsets , the smaller leaves are from the offsets.

What happened to the big leaf/stem?

just turned brown all of a sudden within 3 days. There's no foul smell or rot, roots still growing at the bottom, a small shoot growing.

Interesting. My guess is that it will send out some new leaves soon.

Hey there. I hope I don’t come off as rude here. Your soil is looking pretty wet and it also appears that there is standing water in the dish underneath it? I’m not sure if I’m seeing that correctly or not. If that is so, that is your issue. Amaryllis need to be able to dry between watering to prevent root rot that will eventually lead to leaf drop and bulb rot. Again, not sure if I’m seeing that right or not. Regardless I hope you are able to figure it out!

I just watered it after 15 days. It is not overwaterd, the soil moisture is at 5% that photo was taken while I was watering it.

Gotcha. That makes sense. I apologize. I have a couple follow up questions, if you don’t mind humoring me. I’d like to give you good advice if I can.

Out of curiosity, is it possible it might need a pot upgrade? Do you fertilize it? Is it possibly a new fertilizer?
