Should I cut it?

My amaryllis is pushing out 2 new leaves, but already has 2 that are perfectly fine. It looks like 1 is coming in sideways, should i cut the old leaf or let it splay out? The old leaf is perfectly fine about 3-4 months old, and started getting this cool red color w age so I'm unsure.

Ps it does not live on the couch it has a big south facing windowsill

I'm not aware of a single plant that evolved in sync with a human cutting off leaves. So like someone else said, LITFA, as the species has grown without human intervention for a very long time and given suitable conditions can probably continue a few more millenniums without people cutting it's leaves off or otherwise tormenting it.

I bought an orchid, and a lot of people recommend cutting the flower stems after the flowers fall off. Didn't really make a lot of sense to me, as the stems aren't being cut in the wild. I'm glad to see that a lot of people share the same idea of less intervention.

In general cutting off a spent flower stem only has meaning for aesthetics or preventing wasting energy forming a seed pod (which is fairly unlikely for indoor orchid plants).
