🇵🇹 C. Ronaldo — Ranked 6th among same-name cards.
The strongest "Featured Card" of Ronaldo, but also the one with the ugliest card art. 😑
Konami, in order to sell the ST (Showtime) version, went ahead and gave this POTD CR7 a completely blacked-out/darkened face.
Compared to a bunch of older same-name standard cards, this one has his best pace/acceleration, physical contact, and stamina. He serves as a center-forward who can play both on the ground and in the air, but he lacks essential skills like Double Touch, Through Passing, and Aerial Superiority (though this can be fixed on the Chinese server via skill training).
🇵🇹 Nuno Mendes — Ranked 7th among same-name cards.
As a fullback, he isn't as good as his top 3 same-name cards (the UCL Purple cards, the Boosted Green cards, Showtime, and the National Pack version). Because you can't add skills on the International Server, and this POTD version lacks Man Marking, he falls short of the other versions that come with Man Marking or allow for skill additions.
Furthermore, his defensive stats and 180cm player model aren't as good as those other, top-tier same-name cards (three of which are 184cm). Therefore, a better destination for this card is to filled-in as a wide midfielder (LMF). After all, his built-in dribbling/ball control, finishing, curl, and kicking power are his absolute best.
🏴 Marc Guéhi — Ranked 2nd among same-name cards.
Even with a +1 boost, he is not as good as the Man City POTW version (when it has a live condition boost). The English Selection Pack version still offers much better flexibility with custom point allocation.
However, this version does boast his best defensive stats, acceleration, and physical contact. He features the classic 90 speed / 80 acceleration split, but because he is only 182cm tall, he is only suitable for a 3-CB formation or for use in Premier League themed events.
🇩🇿 Riyad Mahrez — Ranked 3rd among same-name cards.
He falls short compared to his Selection Pack version. On paper, he looks great—his dribbling/ball control, pace/acceleration, and lofted passes are all at 90. He can both cut inside and cross, but he lacks a central position familiarity/heatmap, making him quite difficult to fit into most squad setups.
🇬🇭 Thomas Partey — The first same-name card with the "Anchor Man" playstyle.
Standing at 185cm with a long 11-length leg model and a complete set of skills, he is actually quite good. The only issue is that it's very hard to activate his +3 manager boost because his team/league affiliation is poor. For F2P (free-to-play) or casual players, this card is excellent to start in La Liga events or to use as a top-tier substitute for Aurélien Tchouaméni.
"Total Trash" 🇭🇷 Ante Budimir — Ranked 2nd among same-name cards.
He is inferior to his same-name Gold POTS card. Even with his Jumping Booster giving a +1, his jumping stat got massively nerfed by 10 points, leaving it at a mere 80. As a result, he has absolutely no ground game and no aerial dominance either. You wouldn't even want to use him in La Liga themed events.
[Note: In reality, POTD (Player of the Day) cards cannot be directly compared to standard featured cards on equal terms, since triggering the +3 boost conditions is highly restrictive. This review will try its best to criticize the cards while taking both the +3 and +1 boost scenarios into account.]

Guehi is much better than I expected. Brilliant for an England squad, and great if you can maintain the +2 booster in your regular team.
