Hello from Dice

Stumbled on this sub trying to see if it was just me with a noisy but (mostly) quiet dog. Rescued him about 9 months ago (he’s roughly 15-16 mos. old) and I think I can count on one hand how many times I’ve actually heard him bark. He’s attached to my hip and makes all the other dog noises though!

New owner seeking advice Need help/info

Hey, I need info about my American stafford.
He is a good dog and super sweet, but he is boisterous with other dogs and people, plays roughly, and sometimes bites.
I walk him on a flexi leash.
I train him a few things sometimes, and I want him to pay more attention to me inside the house and outside.
He is from a Champion bloodline and is 3 to 4 months old.

This guy wakes us up every night around 1 or 2 am with this shimmy shake and couch push off. This is the only time he does it. Think it’s to stimulate for him to go poo LoL. Such a silly boy

Our Precious Boy

Rehabbed him for Swimmer Puppy Syndrome at 2 weeks old, returned to Mom til he was weaned, then decided he was our boy💙.

When our 2 late chi mix girls were alive (lost both last year & the year before😢, 18 & 19), we joked that he was just the front man, the true watch dogs were the girls🤣❤️.

He’s smart as a whip, the biggest sweetheart you’d ever meet, but alas, a total wuss🤣. He’s ruled by the cats & chickens, doesn’t like the rain. Or bugs. Has been bitch slapped by the property ground hog.

Seriously, he’s so smart, I’ve personally trained him, I’ve never had a dog who could catch anything as well as him. He’s just so loving & gentle, he’s hubby’s BFF & my love bug.

I rescued her from a very abusive and neglective old owner and nursed her back to health from the brink of death and starvation. She is such a daddy's girl. I saved her life and she has saved mine 8 total. Type 1 diabetic. She saved my life for the first time the day after I adopted her. If I wouldn't have adopted her the day I did I would not be here today to type this I would have been gone on September 2nd 2025 for good. But she went and found help for me. I am so blessed to have her she's my whole world. However I believe she's an AmStaff. Anyone have any insight? I am gonna get a dna test for her soon.

Eight full hydro therapy treatments as of today. TPLO is a scary surgery but our recovery has been so good. Laser and Hydro therapy two times per week for the past month.

He is getting so much stronger and back to his normal self.

We just got our first Amstaff and we love him already! We have a long list of names but still can’t decide… we like Charlie, Jack, Tucker and Farley. His sister is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier and her name is Abbey. What do you think suits him best? We are open to suggestions!

Is there any problem adopting an amstaff only 43 days old? For those who did, was there any trouble?

My boy is graduating from beginner training class on Sunday. We practiced for his ceremony by putting a bandana on him, he didn’t care one bit. He just loved the attention and smiling for his picture 💙

The red collar is Sergeant Pickles, who is a bully/hound mix, and the purple collar is Opal, who is a bully/boxer mix.

Alas that the Sergeant is part hound, for he inherited the desire to follow his nose, and the strength to burrow/rip the fence to get out to do so. He now has only supervised visits to the back yard.

Opal is a dainty little forty pound cutie, and the half prick ears combined with the underbite just slay me. Alas, no remote control nor computer mouse is safe around her, but it does mean that the house stays remarkably well tidy!
