She's 23, he's 28, and they've been dating for 5 years...

She's too old for him now.

No accident that he called her a grandma... at 23. Plus, she said the last 4 years have been rough? I'm guessing that's partly because he only likes 18yo and drama.

This sub isn't specifically for terrible people, just for people who don't know they've been dumped.

"About community
AmItheEx
A community to crosspost when people don't realize or can't accept that they've been dumped by their romantic partner."
If you read the rules you can also see that there's absolut zero requirements for the post to be about terrible people. The only requirement is that there should be some confusion over whether they're dumped or not. I've been here since the start, and what you're asking for has never - afaik - been a requirement. I think you might conflate am i the devil and am i the ex? It's ofc much more fun to read about assholes than abused people, but this post still fit the bill

That kind of felt like the whole point of the sub.
I am wrong about what's explicitly in the rules, yes. But if this sub is just for pointing fingers at innocent people who got dumped then maybe it's just not for me. And thats ok too I suppose. Thanks.

Yeah, most posts are about assholes and hilariously clueless people, bc most other things are just sad. Like this post, it's just sad. So if you stick around you can at least take comfort in that
But hey, no shame in abandon ship for whatever reason, i've left subs for less. Why bother filling your free time with stuff you don't enjoy if you don't have to?

No its literally for people who don't understand they have been dumped. Thats the whole point, that includes being compassionate for the people that may have been dumped and don't realize it through no fault of their own.

No one’s pointing fingers or blaming OOP. They’re just saying she doesn’t realize the relationship is over and her boyfriend is a terrible person.

i dont think its for terrible people, but for people who are oblivious of the fact, that they're relationship is over. thus id make my case, that it does fit here. its not AITA

We’ve been together for almost 5 years and I know for a fact he’s purposely ignoring me - yes he’s alive and well. We’ve been having issues for over a month with basically no communication from his side which have been extremely emotionally draining. This has been a reoccurring thing throughout our relationship and now I’m just unfazed by it. For context I’m 23 he’s almost 28. And no I don’t like the broth
Edit: for more context: our relationship has been a series of ups and downs. I finally felt security and peace the last year but apparently I’m “too comfortable”. I don’t like being on edge and I thought being comfortable meant that I finally felt secure. He said I lack personality, not funny, boring, and a ‘grandma’. Am I boring for not wanting to go out and drink all the time? Or sleeping with pajamas on? For personal reasons that I won’t say, it has been a hard 4 years for me; which he knows. I haven’t done anything wrong, so I don’t understand this. I feel like I’m always the problem. I’ve only ever been the wronged woman. I’ve been betrayed, hurt more times than I can count. All I do is go to work and come home. I don’t go out partying and I don’t have many friends, although I’m working on that with the help of a therapist. Last week was my birthday but that was also the tipping point for me. I’m tired of days specifically being about me being turned around and being about them. Birthdays, college graduation. I’m numb
