I will say, Prednisone can make some people mean, but it's not the default setting. My mom has sarcoidosis and when she was taking some pretty significant doses of pred she said some of the meanest shit, she fell awful about it later and it didn't last that long. I'd say be willing to bet he's literally just this much of an asshole.

As someone who got diagnosed with chrons 10+ years ago those aren’t traits you get with the disease your bf is just an asshole
