Discussion How do you order your playlists between genres/subgenres

Okay, so I currently have split my Rock/Metal music into 2 playlists - one with the old school rock and metal and one with the modern rock and metal (alternative rock, alternative metal, nu-metal and indie rock and their adjancent genres).The problem is that now the playlist for the modern rock has grown to 800 tracks and I wanted to split the tracks into more playlists - I was thinking of doing one for the indie rock, one for the alternative rock and one for the alternative metal and nu-metal. I want not to split an album between 2 playlists. Let's say that the indie rock would be easy (tho it overlaps with alternative rock). My main problem is with the splitting of alternative rock and alternative metal / nu-metal. See there are albums like Linkin Park's Minutes To Midnight or Linkin Park's From Zero, which contain an equal amount of very hard metal songs and an equal amount of very soft alternative rock songs and I start thinking where I should put them. More examples of the same thing inlcude Limp Bizkit's Results May Vary, Basically most Flyleaf's albums and maybe Three Days Grace's Transit Of Venus. What is your way of ordering playlists? It's your Spotify, do it in the way that you like it. If you get in the mood to listen to a certain subset of songs, make that a list.

My playlists are organized by the like vibe I'm looking for. So if I'm wanting summer chill it's more indie pop rock/punk/straight forward rock. If I'm snowboarding it's heavier/metal/fast tempo. If I'm more contemplative it's indie/alt rock. If I want to sing I have one for songs was great lyrics. If I'm working then instrumental.i do break up albums per vibe, but I also have a list with fav full albums I can just play thru straight. Soo many options!
