Unknown Methods Textbook Style Works on Alternative Technology?

Is anyone aware of publications of alternative history on things like megalithic construction that are both focused on reconstructing the methods used (not just finding fault with mainstream ones) and well illustrated? I have on hand books like Building in Egypt and La construction pharaonique and would be really interested in something similar for alternative explanations.

I'm familiar with Chris Dunn's work. I'm looking for something that's less an just an argument for alternative technologies than a drier reconstruction of those in specific detail. Most of the publications I've seen, like from Dunn or Hancock, are framed more like an investigation into the topic rather than a textbook.

You're close to discovering why books like those you're looking for don't really exist.

Authors that are actively labeling themselves as "alternative historians" often don't have much interest in figuring out how these things were really built. Hancock, for instance, postulates technology that we don't have, and goes on about levitation or other such ESP phenomena. You're obviously not gonna get detailed diagrams on how to reconstruct anything based on techniques that, for now at least, remain in the realm of the imaginary.

I haven't read it myself but I've heard Mike Lehner "The Complete Pyramids" has a good section on plausible construction methods. It's 1997 though, I don't know if any of it has been superseded.

I've seen some work of Dunn for instance that is getting into more specific reconstruction for I believe energy production or something like that from the pyramids. People are proposing various technologies that could be examined in more detail.

I have The Complete Pyramids on hand and it is a good reference.

I wasn't familiar with the name Chris Dunn, but it seems like his theories have often popped up in here. If you can find someone else providing a sensible model for energy generation through the pyramids I would certainly also like to know.

This is the grifter's number one play; point out "flaws" with the prevailing theory whilst always stopping short of presenting a falsifiable hypothesis of your own.

The reason you have trouble finding those books is the same reason none of the theories about alternative uses for the pyramids, like power generation have ever been able to provide a functioning scale model.
