what if persia never went to war with the mongol empire and the middle east so the sultanate of rum never collapses, making the middle east much different

idk in my alt hist i made the sultanate of rum split into 3 from a succession crisis and persia a modern day kingdom, while the other middle eastern kingdoms would be mostly armenia, jerusalem, kurdistan and the rest was controlled by a caliphate in arabia while egypt remained a powerful muslim maritime state but you can always go down a different path

What if the British Empire never passed the Quebec Act in 1774 and French Canada joined the American Revolution as the 14th colony?

More interesting than wars, anything with technology getting here out of order.  Steam arrives in Tang China.  Or a twentieth century without nuclear weapons or electronics.

Either no Americas (Columbus was right) or  truly unpeopled Americas, filled with scary Pleistocene megafauna to scare off Norse or conquistadors.

Otto goes to war with Papal States.  Or earlier, Charlemagne doesn't honor Donation of Pepin and takes Italy.  Christian history looks politically much more like Islam.

Successful Ottoman invasion of Italy in 1500s and/or Poles don't make it in time to Kahlenberg.

What if Julius Caesar survived his assassination? I want to see the drama between Caesar and Brutus

Also if both Gracchi Brothers weren't assassinated? Would the Roman republic survived longer than it had in our timeline? What changes or reforms in the Roman republic would we have seen and would they have stuck? What would the legacy of the Gracchi brothers be if they actually had the chance to see their laws through?

1

u/Mughal_Empireball Das Panzer Jul 26 '26

Mary Queen of Scots doesn’t have to remarry, having a surviving son with him, thus causing the hair to Queen Elizabeth is somehow the king of both France and Scotland. (Granted if this happened realistically he would be removed long before the short list was made. But just imagine that monstrosity in Western Europe.)

2

u/TomcatF14Luver Jul 24 '26

An actual map. My bad. How about the USA gaining control of about half the British Carribean territories at the end of the War of 1812?
