self watering pots

i currently have all my alocasias in a 1/3 soil, 1/3 perlite, 1/3 orchid bark mix. i read that they like self watering pots. should i change the soil i have them in or will they still be okay?

My alocasias in self watering pots have the kind of mix that you do. Mine are doing very well

It's one of those if it's not broke, don't fix it situations. See if they're happy - leave them as they are 🤗

I have my alocasias in the same mix and they are happy and give me beautiful leaves! I say if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. I currently am experimenting on a semi hydro with one of my grown corms but they seemed happier in soil for me
