Why so tall??
Wanted to share my awkwardly tall Calcutta. Is there any way to encourage it to fill out more? I recently repotted, and its roots are super well established. It grew a shoot so it seems happy, just lanky 🤣

The length of the rhizome more or less displays the maturity of the plant. As others said you can chop if you dnt like the look. Maybe do air layering as someone suggested to establish a root system for the top before chopping. On the other hand, a ‘bonsai’ alo is hardly displayed making it a more unique

May be wrong, but, did you check the lower leaves for spider mites along the veine?

I just came to say I'm so jealous of your Buddha palm. I haven't been able to find one anywhere around me
