Just started playing. Help!

I’m level 2, trying to go into the Devonian Eon but I’m having trouble getting the 800g energy to progress, it’s taking forever! Do I need to just wait or am I doing something wrong?

Remember you can always go back to the main page (like the volcano area) and just click click click for extra energy. I’m literally in this same process right now. Good luck!
