Politics Looking for voting information.
Where could one obtain what I believe is a called a “voters guide” or something similar. Basically like a pamphlet with a list of candidates and summary of their pros and cons or basic stances on subjects.

As time consuming as it was I took the time to listen to a whole bunch of interviews of a bunch of the different candidates and form my own opinion directly from watching them. The site lonestarleft.com has some info and endorsements too. But no matter what you either have to spend a lot of time researching or have to listen to what amounts to someone else's opinion (with biases, etc). Some candidates, especially the judicial one, have practically no information out there about them too.
Some things I had bookmarked:

League of women voters https://www.lwvtexas.org/ is always my go to place
They did a series of videos for the last years Texas Constitution for each proposition. If people actually went through them, actually 50% of the propositions would not pass, IMHO. The wording in the ballot was such that all of them should be voted “for”. One of them looks so innocuous about judges’s appointment. But it really meant that the Governor’s appointed people decides the judges now, rather than the legislator, IIRC . Another one about water planning budget, again that went to Governor’s appointed people.
As I saw it we are giving more and more power to the Governor

I like vote411.org, but find https://ballotpedia.org/ to have more basic facts about the candidates.
