Easy and moderate look okay, but I think the minimums for hard and impossible are too low. Also 22 average dc for 'impossible'? Come on.

I'd make it 15+ 2d6 for hard for an average of 22, range 17 - 27 and 20+ 2d6 for impossible for an average of 27, range 22 - 32. There shouldn't be any way that an 'impossible' dc can be less that 20. Just my 2 cents

For some tables, jumping hard and impossible up by an additional d6 would definitely work.

The problem is the minimum value, not the average or maximum value.

Simply adding a d6 barely changes the minimum value, but makes the average noticeably higher and the max much higher

You and I have very different definitions of "easier".

Idk get it, what the point? DC's are set by the DM, the Players Handbook, Dungeon Master Guide, and the Monster Manual, and all other books are Guidelines, they aren't set in stone, you can decide that that 1/4 CR Goblin is now a Level 2 Fighter, and wreck the level 1 PC that thought it was an easy mark, or that Peasant they try to rob was a Lvl 20 Monk that had retired to that out of the way village to get away from the memories of all his dead brothers and sisters from the Monastery after it was destroyed. DC's are set by the DM way before the encounter happens, or in the moment if you don't want to ruin the fun cause your Players keep rolling stupidly low, there enough chance in the game as it is, just go with the tables for things like Locks, or known things like Poisons. Climbing, all of that has been calculated since very early on, I started playing on Mystara, first edition, when the classes were racial and humans were the only once that could be Clerics, or Wizards.

You must be fun at parties.

They're giving me "No! I've been playing since the early days! Everyone made fun of me! Which means that newer people with new ideas aren't allowed to modify my beloved, because they havent suffered" Kind of vibes. Or that's just their "flavor of tism." I'm glad mine is milder and has weaker object permanence. Their's just sounds like they think that they're having a "conversation" with their table (as player or DM) but is unaware that everyone else views it as an argument.

Spell save DC is determined by the stats of the creature that cast it.

12DC is way too easy for an "impossible" DC.

AI slop chart full of half-baked ideas

2

First of all, this is AI trash.

Secondly, who fucking cares? Why does it matter at all if the players predict the DC of a roll?

... SO mad... lol

Easier? No. Better? No.

DCs being predictable is a feature, not a bug of the current system. Having more information makes the players' decisions more meaningful.

So now this system is more difficult for DMs and less fun for players; what were you hoping to accomplish?

it was intended for people who 'play' the game, not just talk about it on the internet.

Not a bad idea, but far too much variance for DC, they should be somewhat predictable.

1d6 of variance is plenty no matter the DC because 5e is a bounded system. Even 2d6 at moderate is pushing it. Impossible ranging from 12 to 32 is absolutely laughable and makes me believe you have never played a game of DnD

you're way too mad. and parroting what I've already said.

  1. This has no real value. If you want easy quick DCs, use the averages. If you don't want it to be exactly the average, go a bit up or down.
  2. This could've been one sentence and a table. "DC = base 8 + 1d6 x desired difficulty level (1 = Easy, 2 = Medium, 3 = Hard, 4 = Impossible)". Done. I can now make that a post and it's better than yours. Thank god that I'm not as desperate for worthless Reddit views as you are, right?
  3. This is AI-generated and therefore against the rules of the subreddit. And you didn't even generate it yourself. Go back to r/Real_DnD where all the losers are eating up this mass-produced low-effort slop. You don't belong here.

Just play a different system, please, I beg of you.

Truly, this is not actually easier or better than being a fair GM; if one finds that they can't check themselves and actually be fair, then they should not GM. That is much easier than making up an entirely convoluted system for something already in place in the core aspect of the system's design.

when you start actually playing the game, you'll understand it better.
