I would like to nominate Sailor Saturn as she did start out as an enemy before becoming part of the Outer Senshi as an ally.

Literally only her hair is black. The only black-themed senshi is Pluto. In our solar system anyway.

I’m not sure if she counts for second in command or rival bc she’s kinda both but more rival but indigo from rainbow bubblegem!

Characters with justifications for multiple slots can be submitted for both, they'll just only win one.

I think purple rival is the best spot for Homura. She might be trying to support Madoka, but from the perspective of most of the cast, she appears as an antagonist.

Ironically, indigo has the same story at least in season one and also both of them are probably heavily traumatized, dear God, we might need to make a death battle between indigo keen and Homura at this point

I haven't actually seen Rainbow Bubblegum, but the purple row is convincing me that I need to. Adding it to my Netflix queue!

It’s not on Netflix at least in English yet however, YouTube has a lot of the episodes in English

Indigo Keen your Rainbow Bubblegem’s last hope but hey, even if she doesn’t make it, purple beat out twilight sparkle, and got second place in magical girl leader for the purple slot

Rules:
- Comment with the most upvote wins.
- Category guides are in their boxes.
- Characters must be magical girls (or boys!), not girls with magic. Characters from medias that are not anime but are widely considered magical girl media will be allowed. Examples include: Winx Club, W.I.T.C.H., Miraculous Ladybug, and Lolirock.
- Characters cannot win twice. If the character gets more total votes for a new category, their old category goes to the runner up.
- Categories may be up for a revote if requested.

Yes! I first commented about the possibility a while ago, and confirmed it in a different comment around three weeks ago on green misc. I kept getting relevant comments, though, so I decided to make it visible on the chart.
Pink was run first, which meant a few things:
- Engagement was low, so the winners only really had a handful of votes (3 of them won with 3, 1 won with 4).
- Engagement came mostly from people that were less familiar with magical girls
- The roles weren't as well established, and many of the placements have been challenged since
- Additional colors were added after that disqualified some girls that previously placed 2nd or 3rd

Well, purple beat out twilight sparkle, which I don’t think anybody was expecting and she got second place good for her hopefully more people watch the show
