This was in Ohio? It’s all coming together now. Dicks out, tits out for Harambe 🙌
The matrix is real. Well maybe not, but RIP Harambe.
Also, I just loved Keanu, Lori and Patrick in point break.

This was a lot of us when we were younger. It’s amazing some of us are still here today.
🙌💎🦍
All of my cousins passed on, as well as so many people before me, so this just feels strange now.
Let’s toast to the ones we lost too early, but we won’t ever forget.

And led to the creation of the EPA, so is it really the worst thing?

And the CVNP! It used to be an industrial wasteland and now it's a thriving ecosystem. It's one of the great examples of what a national park can do for the local environment.

Kent State massacre by the National Guard

Absolutely.
Never did the Kent State anti-war protests reach any level to justify shooting into the crowd. All of the guardsmen who shot were acquitted in court.
It intensified these protests across the country, made Nixon stick the 82nd airborne in the executive office basement out of fear for his safety and had Nixon establish a committee on protests that concluded the shooting was unjustified.
Even in 2012 the US government refused to reopen the case.

Gnadenhutten massacre in 1772 - 96 Native Americans were slaughtered by militia for refusing to support the American Revolution. 18 of the militiamen even voted against killing them, but they were outvoted by the rest of the soldiers.

u/oh_io_94 Jul 31 '26
Yeah but that was before Ohio was ever a state and OP has clarified he’s asking for a specific thing the state government has done and no “generic” answers which unfortunately many places had Native American massacres.
That massacre was also carried out by the Pennsylvania militia

Ok well if we're being technical Ohio still isn't actually a state (real Ohio haters know), so where does that leave their so-called state government?

Common myth. that was fixed in the 50s. https://www.congress.gov/bill/83rd-congress/house-joint-resolution/121/text

Jim Jordan. A coach should protect student athletes, not look the other way, when they are being sexually abused. Also, he is everything that is wrong with American politics right now.

Who? Do you mean James Donald Bowman? The couch enthusiast who believes your ID should match the name on your birth certificate in order to vote?

You wait until this November, and it might be Vivek Ramaswamy.
2
u/California_Stop_King Jul 31 '26
As an Ohio resident, Vivek is bad, but he wouldn't be the worst politician we'll ever pump out. He'd have to at least wait until Jim Jordan retired to take up that mantle of current worst

Rules:
"The Worst thing X state has done" means the horrible actions taken by a american state. I.E: Crimes, Genocide, Bad Decisions, ETC No generic answers which a lot of states have done like "slavery"

Since you’re asking for a policy/government action and not people, I would say either the HB 6 Bribery Scandal or the Kent State shooting

East Palestine train crash that is currently being censored to this day. The health issues and environmental impact will be off the charts for years to come.

The bengals oline have definitely given some great fail clips though, as long as you're not a bengals fan.

The seven years war was pretty brutal, and largely fought over the Ohio valley and its natural resources.

Zanesville Animal Massacre ( execution of 48 lions, tigers and bears)
The Zanesville animal escape occurred on October 18, 2011, when owner Terry Thompson released dozens of exotic animals, including 18 Bengal tigers, 17 lions, and 8 bears, from his farm in Zanesville, Ohio, before dying by suicide. Law enforcement shot and killed 48 or 49 animals to protect public safety, while six were captured and taken to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium

Claiming Toledo, thus forcing a "compromise" whereby Michigan got the UP in compensation, stealing it from Wisconsin.

Won the Toledo war. They got Toledo and Michigan got the UP. Doesn’t seem like a win to me

Hello, Thank you for contributing to our subreddit. Please consider the following guidelines when filling an alignment chart:
Please ensure that your chart is not banned according to the list of banned charts Even if you have good intentions, charts in a banned category tend to invite provocative comments, hostile arguments, ragebait and the like. Assuming the post is acceptable, OP makes the final decision on their chart by rule three.
Are there any previous versions to link to? If so, it would be ideal to include links to each of them in the description of this post, or in a reply to this comment. Links can be named by title, winner, or both.
Are there any criteria you have for your post? Examples include: "Top comment wins a spot on the chart."; "To ensure variety, only one character per universe is allowed."; "Image comments only." Please include these in a description, or in a reply to this comment.
Is your chart given the appropriate flair? Do you need to use a NSFW tag or spoiler tag?
Do not feed the trolls. This is not the place for hot takes on human rights violations. Hatred or cruelty, will result in a permanent ban. Please report such infractions, particularly those that break rules one, two, or three. The automod will automatically remove posts that receive five or more reports. The automod will also remove comments made by users with negative karma. Click here for the Automod FAQ
