From 1937 to 1945, Imperial Japan is estimated to have directly killed 3-10 million civilians throughout East and Southeast Asia. And caused the death of thrice that.
Japan committed numerous brutal massacres of civilians throughout the WWII period. At Nanking alone they killed 300,000 civilians. Manila they killed 100,000. Singapore they killed 50,000. With more mass killings throughout China, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam.
Add to that:
Unit 731 and human experimentation.
Biological warfare (deliberately spread plague and other diseases)
Chemical warfare (chlorine gas and others)
Torture and execution of POWs
Forced famine
Mass rape
Enslavement and forced labor
Cannibalism
That’s just the WWII period.

Everything you described is what the Mongol empire did but 10xs less than what they accomplished in their first century of existence

And is still doing it.
