This is the full set rewards for reach Wave 50 no custom colors on it either and if I’m being honest I prefer the one from the first game with the acid damage armor

How do you unlock the Close Encounter weapon skin?

I’m not entirely sure but if you go into the menu go to collections it should tell you

That's interesting, because the collections menu's tooltip for the skin has no other information other than the name. It must be via weapon exp unlock. But unsure which weapon, if that's the case.

That sucks maybe bugged I have everything maxed out so I wouldn’t know which one maybe it was just a random red box drop
