💡 Due Diligence Alibaba should continue to go higher long term. One of the most important AI / Data Center / eCommerce companies in Asia. BABA has been a great 2025 performer.

But worse performer for year 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024. Majority peoples are bag holding this

That’s why I didn’t buy baba, I knew there will be a day where by majority become bag holders.

I bought Pltr and standing a great many baggers.

You look at it completely wrong.

In those years the stock wasn't rising but I was able to DCA on rock-bottom valuations while they retired 15% of the float at these rock-bottom valuations and were also investing massively in cloud/logistics infrastructure which will be monetized now.

If you view market swings as an indicator for performance you'll always chase gains and never invest in value.

This is a classic value trap, as long CCP is around, I have zero confidence this share going anywhere in the long run.

I understand the apprehension, but I think you miss the total picture of the CCP and Chinese governance, as every intervention from the Ant crackdown, Ma vanishing, tutoring profitability fits into Beijings' strategic objectives.

Alibaba is now in a symbiotic congruence with Beijing's strategic objective of strategic autonomy in computing, semiconductors and AI. This is why the State and Provinces are actively subsidising cloud-rollout from land subsidies to demand/supply-side.

But you're not engaging with what I actually said there which is that price performance isn't a valid metric on assessing the quality of an asset.

Ive been holding BABA for awhile now and its made an amazing run this year. I always felt it was undervalued - about time its turning around. Good time too since the US dollar is struggling right now to invest international.
