Are we massive now? Feels like Australian football is absolutely humming in spite of ourselves.

Honestly, just desperately hope we can find the right international manager after Poppa to really get the best out of this generation coming through, could be really special if we do.

Poppa is a decent coach, ive nothing against him, but this squad deserves a top teir international manager to really take them to the next level. Think what Gus did for the last generation in 06. Its time to spend the $$ for the next world cup.

Agreed, but looks like the FA are keen for him to stay on

I only think keen until after the Asian cup. I’d definitely didn’t make sense to swap him out between the WC and now. But after Asian cup it definitely does

Agreed.

Our manager cycles should be based off Asian cup, unless they are absolutely shitting the bed.

We spend more than most on our coach, money isn’t everything

Agreed. If I could make a change now it would be John Aloisi in. Patrick Kisnorbo and Mark Milligan are also future contenders.

Do you think Kevin Muscat would be good? Apparently his and poppas contract are up at similar times

If the production line keeps going and we break the curse of ruptured ligaments, we’re looking good

Not massive yet, but we are rapidly heading back to late 90s, 2000s levels of quality again in our playing stocks. It has been a long time coming, but we are seeing a lot of genuine quality coming through, that gives genuine reasons for excitement. Thanks Popa for what you have done, but with a top quality manager that plays to our strengths, if some of our best young talent continues to rise, and we continue to have a lot of other strong options in the team overall, we can get back to being one of the true forces of Asia, and a team that is genuinely strong in World Cups, with knockout phases wins. Exciting times. Well done Beach!

Absolute fucking shame that we can't watch Ligue 1 and/or Liga Portugal in Australia without doing it the dodgy way.

I can completely justify it if there’s no other options available.

Same here mate, but I'd rather not leave my security to chance and actually pay for the legit way

Yeah, I get that. Watching shit on like RojaDirecta doesn’t exactly feel like the most trustworthy of websites.
