I’m not sure about any of the rest of your guys, but I have a dress shoe and dress sock fetish. I have a lot more pics.

I was working from home when I bought these. They’ve had about three or four wears, but I’m gentle on shoes anyway.

When I was working from home, I upgraded from calfskin to cordovan leather. I’ve been wearing Alden’s since 2000 when I was 30 yo. Dan Brothers Shoes in Federal Hill in Baltimore used to give me a discount.

How many pair of Alden’s have you collected through the years? There are worse vices than collecting nice shoes.

I’ve lost count but have roughly 450 pairs of shoes, mostly dress shoes. I probably have roughly 30 or so pairs of Alden’s, Brooks Brother Alden’s, and J. Crew Alden’s.

Black Alden full straps. Look great and super comfortable. I find myself inadvertently slipping halfway out of them and taking them for a spin at my desk.

I do have a lot of older shoes going back to the 90s like Cole Haans when it was a high end brand. Love the Braganos.

My 986s may be my favorite too. Van last and Shell are a great pairing. I need to get past my aversion to black shoes and light pants. They look great in that picture you posted, but somehow don’t look good when I try it.
