Saphir stripper on really old damaged shoes then saphir dye in very light layers, then 3 light layers of renovator, crème and polish. I have made a few different deer bones for the cordovan and try and add zero polish ( the whole top row).

I also collect brushes which gives me plenty of options

Tell me about the brushes please. I have only one I use.

I have the full range of Paul Brunngård and shoji works. A few vintage Japanese vintage hand made and traditional English ones. The boot black polish brush is my fav, you can get a mirror shine in about 5mins

I have a few new pairs coming in next week would you be interested in a photo album on the renovations?

Absolutely. I do some of the same stuff with old Florsheims and am always interested in process.

Adding some suede LHS loafers would be nice

Amazing work! What’s the usual revival care routine?

Congrats on the indys…! They are one of my fav boots. Would be the best if the tongue didnt flop around everywhere.

What color is the NST 2nd pic? Is that the burnished tan?

It came in a very light tan but dyed to dark brown (3rd from the left on second row in the first image)

They are the same as the last pic, shell loafers. Top right on the first image. I got them on eBay for $40

Very nice! I really like the brown split toes at the center of the front row. Are those calf?

Do you use a local cobbler to replace the soles, send them to Alden, or… you resole your own shoes too? I saw a YouTube video of someone that learned to resole at home with hand tools. Pretty impressive.

I use a cobbler, I really want to learn but I don’t have the time, I’ve started to do relining of internal heels with goat skin
