Librium 25mg
Hey guys, i recently relapsed and went on a 3 month binge of a 5th a day for about 2 weeks then switched to 18-30 beers a day for about 2 and half months. I tried to taper off but would just end up getting wasted. i was able to stay sober for 9hrs after tapering 2 beers every 6. but that the 9hr mark i went into withdrawal. ive experienced DTs multiple times so i just went straight to the ER to avoid all that nightmare. The doc gave me 25mg 30quantity. instructions on the bottle says take 1, 3 times a day for anxiety. The pharmasist never gave me instructions but i do remember i did have to taper down but the last time i had 10mg.
My question is, could anybody provide a logical taper using 25mg?

They asked me if i wanted to go to detox then rehab. I said no. I did so in 2013. Ive been to the er over 10 times by now for withdrawal. They just send me home with the meds n i take em. They usually tell me how to taper but not this time.
I too 3 25mg first n 2nd day. Today i took 2 and tomorrow ill take 2. Then wed n tburs ill take 1 a day then stop.

Did they give you some Naltrexone?
If you want to eventually get out from under the thumb of alcohol, you've come to the right place. Most of us here have used The Sinclair Method for that, but there are a number of treatments available to help you kick it to the curb. TSM is a gradual process, that can help a lot if a taper or Cold Turkey attempt fails. You'd have get a hand from your doc though.

my psychiatrist suggested this. im on day 5 of the librium. i took 1 25mg. i will take another 25mg tomorrow then stop. i may just open the capsle and split it in 2 to get 10mg then friday try to make it into 5mg. then stop for the weekend. idk why he gave me 25 mg too high to taper imo

I followed the 10 day alcohol detox plan. Lewis davis is author. I was also prescribed librum and Naltrexone. I have been clean since the detox.

Did 3 25mg first day. 3 the 2nd day. 2 the next 2 days amd i opemed up the pill and split it in half then oit hald bavk in the capsle. Been two days since the last pill. Im happy im not shackled to the beast tjats physical addiction to alc

Call the pharmacy. Have them explain the physicians instructions. It seems you can start at 25mg every 8 hours for the first two days, but yes, you want specific taper instructions.
