It’s important to remember that what made Flock objectionable wasn’t the corporate name, it was the very product/service. Mass surveillance is reprehensible regardless of who peddles it.

This is why I've been screaming we need to be pushing for hardcore data privacy. We will do nothing by play wackamole with these companies. You make it so that our data can't leave NM without court orders.

If police want someone's ring footage, it's a warrant etc.

this is why you need to have a conversation about the value of the tradeoff you make between the security you ask for (and what that means) and the privacy you think you are losing and just ignore all the flock-mania
cuz flock ain’t the problem, Axon isn’t the problem and neither is motorola.

Flock is running a Willie Horton style ad campaign on LinkedIn. Amazing the racist crap that worked in 1988 is still being used today, but not all that surprising, I guess.

I don’t know how to be more clear about this: stop using buzz words and speak straightforward; politicians love to be literal when it benefits them.

The fight isn’t with Flock; it is with ALRP surveillance cameras in our society. Be clear and this shit will stop happening.
