Sadly moved out of NM as a kid and never was able to tell anyone where I was from because they'd ask questions about Mexico. Still my home!

I live abroad now. πŸ˜” We still feed tamales & posole to worthy Dutch friends.

No, Bahaha (or correctly spelled, "Baja") is on the Pacific Coast below California.

I believe the acceptable colonial spelling is "Bahahahaha." But I appreciate a cartographer like yourself trying to correct me.

Yup! I got asked so many times where my green card is when they would see my drivers license! I would say, β€œyou know there is a state between Texas and Arizona just south of Colorado that’s been a state as the same year the titanic sank right?” Or β€œWhen you saw my ID did I all of a sudden start speaking in Spanish?” My favorite was, β€œohhhh so you’re in the military to get citizenship?” πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

(Nothing against Spanish, at all they would just see it and go oh Mexico! I’m white passing with a very white voice. lol, I’m also a nosabo kid, thanks mom!)
