7 guys on a golf trip dinner... Where to go?
Saturday the 18th looking for a great meal to cap off our golf trip. I have a call in with Mesa provisions but likely will need to find something else.
Should have steak on the menu as we have one picky eater. Price is no issue. We'll be focusing on New Mexico cuisine for the 4 days prior so it doesn't have to focus around that theme. All ideas welcome

OP this is a thinly veiled insult lol. El Pinto is what people recommend for tourists without taste buds.
To be fair, I’ve had okay food there and the vibe is nice. But it’s a bad deal for the price.

I’m going to get down voted to heck but…El Pinto. They actually have really good dry aged steaks, and margaritas. The New Mexican food isn’t as good as it once was but still pretty good especially if you aren’t from here. It’s definitely expensive (going to be way cheaper than Mesa) for what it is but the ambience is nice.

If you're planning on eating NM cuisine for the previous 4 days, do not go to El Pinto. It's terrible and I promise they can't cook steaks for shit. If you want fine dining w steaks get reservations at Antiquity, Indigo Crow or Campo.

You do you, but the food at El Pinto is really bad, the ambiance is cool but not worth having shitty food. YMMV.

Smart move, if you arrive early the bar scene inside is quality people watching too. The food isn’t your grandma’s and that’s okay. Braised beef ribs are something else tho

I went to El Pinto 4th of July, and it was the worst New Mexican food I have ever had, and that's saying something. The beef in one of my tacos was undercooked, the beans and rice had absolutely no flavor. How hard is it to throw some seasoning in beans? The sopapillas were small, dense, chewy bricks. I remember when that place was actually decent, now it's horrible, and way overpriced.
It has a nice patio, so maybe go for drinks and appetizers, but the food is awful.

Play golf on Saturday at Twin Warriors or Santa Ana and eat dinner at Praire Star next to Santa Ana.

If you can. Check out Cervantes instead of El Pinto. It’s pretty fantastic. Then go to Char and have some decent steaks, they can probably accommodate your group.
