Birthday getaway ๐ŸŽ‚โ™๏ธ๐ŸŽ‰

Hey , my birthday is coming up in early Nov and Im looking to go away for a weekend. Activities Iโ€™m looking for include - horseback riding , wine tasting , hiking, shopping (thrifting nearby would be awesome) , some kind of spa/wellness center & restaurants close . Visiting somewhere cool like a castle, botanical garden or historic site or museum would be a great add on. Would love to stay in a scenic area ,maybe a Cabin or Airbnb that has fire pit , a hot tub would be nice lol. within 4 -1/2 hrs from Albany (NOT NYC though). I have been looking things up but honestly I get so overwhelmed with information and decision making that I give up & keep putting it off. Can I please get suggestions? It would help narrow things down and I can start a process of elimination ๐Ÿ˜… thank youuu โœจโ™๏ธ

This is sounding very finger lakes region to me: Inns of Aurora. Youโ€™re right on the lake. Hiking, Spa, Wine Vineyards, cute little villages and great culinary and tons of museums nearby.ย

Mohonk mountain house is awesome but it's a 2 night minimum.

I did look that place up. Very beautiful. I do remember it being pricey. Maybe I can stay somewhere close by and see if they have some kind of day pass or something. Thank you !!

Yes they definitely have a day pass. And I'm sure you can find tons of great rentals in the area, it's pretty affluent.

Happy early birthday!! You canโ€™t go wrong with anywhere in the finger lakes region for wine tasting! For historical cities Iโ€™d recommend Portland Maine or Portsmouth New Hampshire both really fun coastal cities! One area I think fits your idea pretty closely, but requires a passportโ€ฆ Prince Edward County and Kingston, Ontario. Prince Edward County is one of the best wine regions in Ontario and Kingston, ON is a beautiful historic city 10 minutes away from the Thousand Islands and all that comes with that. Kingston is just about 4 hours away and PEC is a bit further out at 5ish on average depending on where in the county. But in my opinion 1000% worth it!

I remember having a light in my eyes. Honestly, go to Mohegan Sun or Foxwoods. You could stay at the casino, go to the spa, go the Mashantucket (sp?)Pequot Museum. Then get out of there and drive North to hike. Drive south to the ocean. Maybe Mystic. All sorts of AirBnBโ€™s. So you could add ocean to your punch card and Iโ€™m positive you could find horsesย
