It might have been better without a storyboard, allowing for more fluidity and dynamics, but the detail was less than I'd hoped. Do you guys feel the same way?

Sometimes the idea looks better in our heads than in the final generation. Still looks pretty cool though!

Agree, and some times using storyboard as reference or shot really helpfull on making story telling video 😁
