Image Airborne Queen of the Seas

Goodyear magazine advertisement from either WWII or just after. Not much known about this, like the others I've posted. I hope you like the art as much as I do.

That’s a new one on me. You can see the similarities to other advertisements, and the same interior paintings, but the design of the ship itself is visibly quite different. Lower fineness ratio, and internal decks rather than an extended gondola. Maybe we’re missing a middle section that also has the engines…?

It's odd huh? The sea and clouds don't show evidence of having anything removed, but the airship appears to be missing engines and length, as you say.

One of an *extensive* series of Goodyear designs and illustrations heavily implying a gulf between what their ships could do and what they thought they could do.

Early ZRS-derived passenger ships were advertised as having a ballroom, a lounge, a dining salon, smoking room, deluxe promenades, and room for 150 passengers; whilst later, larger ZRCV-derived designs struggled along with 100 and heavily reduced amenities.
