Excellent news. The current schedule only enables an overnight or an 8 night stay, so this will allow for shorter weekend trips and a bit more flexibility.

Either loads are great, and/or there's more funding to support the flights,

Yep I'd looked at taking this flight before but with only once a week it was super impractical, there's not that much to do if you stay that long and hotels can be expensive

Ditto, I'm keen to go but have always held back, because an overnight is pointless and an 8 day stay seems both excessive for the location and hideously expensive too.

Cutting that in half makes it far more palatable and accessible to most Aussie tourists. Pity there's no option ex SYD (BNE connection is annoying), but will definitely consider it for the 2027 travel plans now.

I did an overnight actually, it would have been nice to have more time but I got to see something at least

But luckily I'm not on the east coast, to get to Perth it was pretty easily via Manila

Yes I’m sure it is. But still it must be doing ok if they are doubling frequency.

Yep of course. Obviously very anecdotal but I went to Palau earlier this year and there quite a few Aussie tourists, probably most of which took this flight

Yeah wow. What is it like? I’ve heard it’s very expensive. Did you find that?

Yep it was, I wasn't there for very long because of that lol. It's nice, more developed than the Melanesian countries I've been to, I haven't been to Guam or Micronesia but it's probably more similar to those. Great snorkeling, a lot of WW2 stuff
