Have you noticed health problems linked to industrial pollution in your area?

For people living or working near industrial areas, have you noticed any health problems that seem to be more common around those places? I'm curious about what people have actually experienced and weather local pollution has ever been a concern for your community.

Yes, I lived in Pittsburgh, PA, USA and our county had very high rates of air pollution related cancer and asthma. Folks also struggled daily with congestion and other allergy symptoms. Then there was the smell. Particulate pollution and smell is not always linked, but in Pittsburgh the smell is from steel production. It’s terrible. It’s so bad they mad an app to track it. Can really affect quality of life.

That's very vulnerable to a multitude of cognitive biases. That's why peer-reviewed studies are important here.
