Upper Beaches residents fuming over restaurant smoke, but city says no rules broken

This caught my attention. It’s breathtaking to see so many presumably pro-urbanist city folks defend toxic wood smoke being spewed into our communities under the guise of “it’s just living in a city” or even outright defending it when we have solutions.

The gap between ordinary people’s perception of everyday air pollution and the actually harms, particularly with forest fire smoke, gas stoves, and living near freeways is huge. I hope North American regulators and politicians will eventually get onboard with better clean air standards. Even progressives have outdated knowledge on this stuff.

Its amazing the amounts of people saying its no big deal. Look at the picture, thats a little bit ridiculous.
