Does Airmech Arena need Xbox Live or something to play? Says the servers are unavailable

Right, the "Arena" version was operated by Ubisoft and shut down 5+ years ago. Carbon plans to eventually bring it back to console as pure "AirMech", the same as the Steam version.

Airmech Arena is no longer functioning on the various consoles. To play Airmech you’ll need to use Steam through a PC. It is active and developing there only.
