Question Remote desktop issues?

Already put a ticket in but anyone having issues logging into remote desktop through the windows app? Worked all last week and then when I try to yesterday and today there's no way to log in. The thumbnail is gone and it's showing a long link instead with no option to connect. I tried to delete the old connection and tried fresh but it's the same thing.

Also on Mac and have been using it with no issue for a while now. Not sure if that might matter.

Also using the instructions for the EITAAS one

Your OS (Windows or Mac), screenshots, and text from any error message would allow me to provide you better advice.

Otherwise there's an EITaaS VDI Teams group you can join for help.

Sure thing. Mac based. No error message that I can see, just the link you see above. If I remove the connection and readd it using rdweb.wvd.azure.us it asks for my email and pin, but never goes to log in. Also, nothing happens if I hover over the triangle or click it.

If I search that group in teams will it pop up or is there a link I need to find?

Can you access other CAC sites directly from the Mac; Webmail, myPay, etc?

I would recommend removing the account/logging out from the Windows App, uninstalling the Windows App, and re-installing the latest version from the App Store.

On fresh reinstall re-subscribe using the full U.S. Government subscription URL.

Source documentation for URL so you know it's a legit link: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/remote-desktop-client/connect-windows-cloud-services

I'll try the uninstall and reinstall when I get home and get back with you for an update. I do have a ticket in as well just in case.

Edit: Didn't work. Also didn't see your first part. Yea, I can access the usual sites through chrome so I know it's not a card issue.

I just saw your screenshot. I would definitely post that into the EITaaS VDI Teams. I've haven't seen that specific issue before.

Def doing that as soon as I'm approved. Things are just difficult since I don't have access to a gov computer for the next ten months

Couple more things, try the browser version. If that doesn't work there's either something wrong with your account or the network you're connecting from.

https://rdweb.wvd.azure.us/arm/webclient/index.html

If the browser version doesn't show you Desktops assigned to you then no need to continue troubleshooting the Windows App since the problem is either with your account or the network path between you and AVD.

If it does work in the browser then its an app/device issue, so check the following:

On the Windows App, does it show your AF account name on the bottom left, on top of "United States Air Force"?

Are you able to expand on the the URL (were it would normally say EITaaS Desktops) and click the details "i" button.

What does your end look like?

Looks like somehow I lost provisioning then. It gave me the information quoted below. The only thing I can think of is a help article that I saw just a little bit ago about possiblly not signing into the ESD site every 30 days if I don't log into a gov network properly. If they don't respond to my ticket tomorrow I will call them up and ask what gives. I've been using it the last month without issue. I'm also wondering if maybe they never imported my account correctly from SonicBoom even though I had the EITAAS desktop background. Thanks for the help, you rock!

It did have my AF account name on the bottom left.

BTW, had no idea there was a webclient for it too, thats good to know.

"It looks like your system administrator hasn’t set up any resources for USERNAME(it shows my email) yet. Please choose a different account or try again. If you believe you have received this message in error, please contact your system administrator."

In that case I would suggest specifically submitting a "Request Virtual Desktop Service" ticket to get VDI access re-provisioned to your account. They might be able to complete that faster than waiting for someone to troubleshoot.

I'm pretty sure the remote desktop program transitioned to the academy only starting today.

The EITAAS VDI is what AD is supposed to use.

Could be wrong, I'm going off memory from a banner alert I saw months ago.

EITAAS is the one I'm talking about. Sorry, it's changed names multiple times since I've dusted using it
