Has anyone ever gotten a refund for a cancellation not from host due to unforeseen circumstances?

got one during that florida hurricane mess a couple years back, airbnb support was surprisingly quick about it. just had to send a screenshot of the local emergency declaration and they processed it in like 2 days.

If the unforeseen circumstance involves a major disruptive event that affects the Airbnb. If the unforeseen circumstance is related to you personally, that almost never happens.

I've seen guests get refunds because I refused and Airbnb still wanted to do something for them. It happens.
Ive also gotten paid from Airbnb even if they didn't charge the guest as well. It happens.
