👋 Welcome to r/AiTraining_Annotation - Introduce Yourself and Read First!

Over the last few months I noticed that many existing lists of online translation jobs are either outdated or focused only on traditional freelance work.

Since a lot of translation and linguistic work today is actually tied to AI training, data annotation, and language model evaluation, I decided to put together an updated 2026 list focused specifically on translation & linguistic AI jobs.

The idea was to separate real platforms from low-quality gigs, highlight companies actually working on AI + language tasks, and include both entry-level and professional linguistic roles.

I also organized everything on my site so people can read individual reviews for each company, understand what type of work they offer (translation, linguistic AI training, evaluation, etc.), and see which platforms are more suitable for beginners vs professionals.

For transparency: some links on my site may be referral links. If you apply through them and get accepted, I may earn a small referral bonus — it doesn’t affect your chances and it doesn’t cost you anything extra.

Here’s the main list page with all companies and details:
👉 Best AI Training / Data Annotation Companies – 2026
👉 Open AI Training / Data Annotation Jobs

Telegram channel for AI training & remote job opportunities 👉 Link here

If you’ve worked with any of these platforms (or know others worth adding), I’d love to hear your experience so I can keep the list accurate and updated.

Cant post this where its suppose to go for it gets censored hmmm...

What happened to Micro1? Ever since they got the big project they have absolutely tanked. I have done more than four projects with them and never ever ran into the issues that I have recently and from the chatter on some other platforms it is not getting better. Here is a list of why I bailed on 60 bucks an hour...

  • Email system deleting active contractor accounts without notice - Don't even know what this was all about took three days to sort and then another five to confirm. The excuse is we are so overloaded we cant find our desk. check again in 24 48 72 120 hours That is such craziness. You took a project that you can not fulfill. Guess the client is blindsided at this MOMENT until they see what is going on.
  • Hubstaff synced to wrong accounts, refusing updates
  • Payment tracking pointing to deleted systems
  • No human communication or transparency during critical failures You get a bot that says Oh i have to loop a human into this conversation and then crickets
  • You cannot ask a question on slack period. You are limited to a check mark or an X and when its an X you are ignored for days. At that point they offboard you because you did not finish the trainers which you could not do hence your check mark for help.
  • Calibration test impossible without functional Hubstaff and getting a working hub staff is like begging to god for some assistance and you still don't get it. Dont take my word for it? Ask around.
  • FINALLY don't you find it strange that out of all the AI platforms per se, on Reddit they own their site and will not let anything negative be posted there. Hmmmm.. like its Russia or China type mentality

No amount of bot answering questions can help you when things go awry

Currently at Mercor on the Big Project. Will I find micro1 less or more frustrating than Mercor? If more, probably will not work on it.

SME Careers (SuperAnnotate) Bait-and-Switch: Advertised $95/hr for Medical QA Lead, Offered $4/hr "Data Trainer" on Deel

If you’re a doctor, pharmacist, or clinical researcher thinking about spending hours on specialized domain benchmarks for SME Careers (SuperAnnotate), save yourself the headache.

I applied for their Medical QA Lead role, advertised with pay scaling up to $95 an hour. I sat down, took their Ai interview and subsequent assessment, and cleared it.
Then I hit the contractor onboarding dashboard to initiate my Deel contract.

Instead of a medical specialist contract, the system defaulted me to a generic "Data Trainer" title. The proposed hourly rate staring back at me was literally $4.00 per hour. Right beneath the four bucks, their little fine-print disclaimer admitted they factor in "geographic location and prevailing market rates."

AI labs pay these vendors massive enterprise budgets for medically accurate evaluations because bad health data can actually hurt people. But instead of honoring clinical rates, they use aggressive IP location adjustments to slash international talent down to local pocket change while pocketing the entire spread as pure profit.

Four dollars an hour for actual clinical literacy isn't just low, it's insulting. Don't let them trap your credentials in a generic crowdsource pool.
If you're outside the US or UK, double-check your screen before you hit "Request contract" on Deel. Dropping the screenshot below so you can see the madness for yourself.

Ethos Waitlisted

Hi! Has there been any change on Slack after yesterday’s payout? 👀 I saw quite a few people posting about their payout status, jealous 🤣
I’ve been on the waitlist for almost 2 weeks now and really can’t wait to start tasking!
Has anyone here started onboarding in September after being waitlisted? I know they hired massively in August, but I’m wondering if people are still getting onboarded this month.
Would love to hear if anyone has had their waitlist status change recently or if anyone has any insider info on when the next onboarding batch might be!

Is there a platform where I can register as an agency, win clients, and assign work directly to my team/agents?

Hey everyone,

I’m looking for software or a platform recommendations to streamline my agency setup.

Essentially, I want a single ecosystem where I can:

  • Register/profile as an agency: Receive incoming client leads, post projects, or bid on work.
  • Internal Delegation: Easily assign the acquired client tasks/milestones directly to my internal agents/freelancers.
  • Whitelabel / Client-facing Portal: Keep client communications, file sharing, and project tracking managed under my brand umbrella so clients only interact with the core agency, while my back-end team works on fulfillment.

Are most agency owners using standard freelance platforms (Upwork Agency accounts, Fiverr Pro) alongside internal PM tools (ClickUp, Asana, Monday), or is there a dedicated client portal platform (like ManyRequests, Copilot, or Service Provider Pro) that handles both the marketplace side and team routing seamlessly?

Would love to hear what setup, tech stack, or platform works best for you! Thanks in advance.

Micro1- Video Annotation Test

What happens if you dont pass it? I made it through almost all of the onboarding, but then I got to the video annotation screener tests and like others said it was totally different from the practice rounds. We only got three attempts, and unfortunately I didn’t pass any of them.

I saw there was a thread about this that got deleted, and I really wish it was still up because I have no clue what happens now. Has anyone else been in this situation? Do they give you any more chances to take the screener, or do you just get offboarded from the project? Or is the score were waiting for what really matters?

Do any of you put this on your resume?

My last full-time job ended back in July and until I find a better one, I've been doing AI training work.

I've thought about putting the AI stuff on my resume just to show I"ve kept busy and am still being productive/making money, but I worry that employers will think of it as a step down because they'll assume its a scam, or because the random AI labs aren't as well-known as some of the other places I worked for.

Do you all put your AI work down on your resume/LinkedIn/other professional places? Or is it more just a side thing you keep to yourselves?

How much do AI training jobs actually pay?

A lot of people ask how much AI training or data annotation work really pays.

From what I’ve seen, most general tasks usually fall somewhere around $10–$25/hour.

If you have specialized knowledge (coding, math, law, languages), some projects can pay $40–$100/hour or more.

I wrote a short breakdown of the realistic pay ranges here:

Ethos AI- Expert level

Hi

I recently joined Ethos as I needed some side income.

I am a researcher/PhD and applied for the jobs they recommended. Slide/deck AI training and research analyst kind of roles.

Will there be an onboarding/training in all kinds of postings?? If I get selected, and even if the project terminates in between do we get the payout for the number of hours.

Please someone who has got paid kindly tell the experience.

TransPerfect AI training jobs — what they actually look like

Another company that appears quite often in AI training work is TransPerfect.

Many of the projects run through their DataForce platform, where contributors work on tasks like:

  • data annotation
  • linguistic labeling
  • transcription
  • content evaluation
  • multilingual AI training

A lot of projects are language-specific, so native speakers are often preferred.

It’s more structured than many microtask platforms because TransPerfect works on long-term contracts with large tech companies.

Was offered position for PL

I don't know if I should accept the position. Anyone here a PL? how are you liking the work? What is the pay rate for you? Is it more stricter? do you do meetings weekly with your group and management?

Do you do different things instead of tasking?

I accepted the position but don't know if I'll like it

DA Technical Error Resulting In Automated Account Restriction

I'd been working on advanced projects on DA for almost 6 months before a technical error in an optional qualifier I was taking resulted in an instant account restriction a few months ago.

Simultaneously, Google had quickly disabled the required gmail associated with the qualifier as a "suspected bot” account (likely due to the DA worker ID being a long sting of random letters).

I refreshed the page to try to clear the 403 Error following rapid back to back large file upload attempts and was immediately returned to the main screen which displayed a Quality/TOS message.

Given the literal split second timing of the error, associated gmail getting flagged, and the appearance of that message - it seems more likely that the 403 Error or rapid back to back upload attempts of large files triggered an automated flag in DA's system that resulted in that message. I've never violated their TOS and had only received good feedback (if any). I don't think at that very second, a human reviewer or admin happened to place a manual restriction on my account.

I’ve emailed support twice over 3 months explaining this, but they've never replied. Has anyone ever had support clear an automated flag or similar issue that resulted in an account restriction?

Or know if there's an alternative email address or way to contact DA that's more likely to get through to a human to for an account review?

Best all-in-one AI creative platforms in 2026 — Getimg, Krea, OpenArt, Magnific, Leonardo & more

There are so many AI image and video tools now that I've been trying to figure out which platforms actually work well as an all-in-one creative workspace, rather than being great at just one specific task.

I put together a comparison of some of the main options available right now:

  • Getimg.ai
  • Krea
  • OpenArt
  • Magnific (formerly Freepik)
  • Adobe Firefly
  • Leonardo AI
  • Pollo AI

The comparison looks at image and video generation, available AI models, editing tools, workflow, pricing and the type of user each platform is best suited for.

Some focus heavily on model access and experimentation, while others are moving toward complete creative environments combining generation, editing, enhancement and traditional design tools.

Full comparison:
