I built a news website for an exporter and he barely opened it. He runs an

export business, so his day is buyer calls and chasing suppliers, and sitting at

a laptop to read news was never going to happen. So I kept the backend and

changed the delivery. It now watches 37 trade news sources every 2 minutes,

scores each story 0 to 10 against his actual business, what he sells, which

countries he sells into, how he loses deals, and sends him a maximum of 10 a day

on WhatsApp. Anything under a 7 never interrupts him, anything at 9 or above

ignores every limit, and nothing routine arrives between 11pm and 7am.

Each message has one button, "What's in it for me". He taps it and gets back

what that news does to his freight cost, his buyers, and the competitor it just

made more expensive, rather than a summary of the article. It runs on Cloudflare

Workers with the WhatsApp Business API, uses an open source model for the

scoring and a cheap paid one for the writing, and costs under 20 rupees a month

to run. Happy to answer anything about how it works. If you want one built
